Profile
Fruitchouli
/fruːˈtʃuːli/ · froo-CHOO-lee
Fruitchouli is an Australian knitwear studio specialising in made-to-order knitwear, creating considered, biodegradable garments entirely in-house.
Each piece is knitted to order, just for you, using advanced Japanese seamless knitting technology and hand-finishing techniques. This technology allows garments to be knitted three-dimensionally in one piece, without seams, resulting in exceptionally comfortable knitwear while ensuring no yarn is wasted during production.
We work with carefully selected yarns, chosen for their comfort, performance, and natural origins. All yarns and garment components are completely biodegradable and plastic-free.
In-house manufacturing allows us to offer bespoke sizing across our designs, prioritising inclusivity.
Embodying Fruitchouli
Fruitchouli borrows from perfumery, where bright, fruity notes meet earthy patchouli in a layered, lasting balance.
Our knitwear embodies this balance. There are thoughtful and natural elements within our brand and designs, including naturally biodegradable yarns, certified organic materials, waste-minimising production, and innovative business practices. These are complemented by playful and distinctive details that reflect both us and those who love to wear Fruitchouli.
Our Origin
Fruitchouli was founded to create an Australian-made environmentally conscious knitwear studio from the ground up, with a focus on local manufacturing using advanced Japanese seamless knitting technology.
All our knitwear is designed and produced in-house at our family-owned and operated studio in Corhanwarrabul (the Dandenong Ranges), Australia.
Our Team
Three family members run every aspect of Fruitchouli, from design and knitting program development to manufacturing.
All our garment components are manufactured entirely in-house except for our organic cotton care labels. These are designed in-house and produced by a trusted supplier. More information is available here.
